From Used Cooking Oil to Renewable Diesel 

There’s a rising need for sustainable fuel solutions. Beginning our efforts in the 1990s, we have over three decades of experience in the commercial production of petroleum fuel alternatives. 

Thanks to our joint venture with Diamond Green Diesel we’re able to turn used cooking oil, fats, and waste feedstocks into an ingredient that is needed for the production of renewable diesel. 

Once transported to one of our three biofuel facilities, your food waste will be processed into ingredients used to create biofuels. These biofuels emit up to 86% less carbon dioxide than petroleum diesel.

Tampa, Florida Accolades 

Our Tampa plant was originally opened in 1958 as Tampa Soap and was acquired by Griffin in 1986. It was then that the plant was used to render food residuals and used cooking oil. When our parent company bought Griffin in 2010, it then became a DAR PRO plant which is now part of our process to create renewable diesel. 

This plant has also been recognized with the Florida Recycling Award in 2020.
